Blacksmith(s) wanted

12-4 pm

I am posting this for a friend. The Ten Broeck Mansion is looking for a blacksmith who would be able to volunteer for this. It sounds like great fun:

The Albany County Historical Association at Ten Broeck Mansion is currently planning Living History Day: Digging up History for Sunday, May 3rd, from 12-4 pm. We'd like to invite you to participate, and you'd be welcome to bring artifacts or give demos. We especially welcome family-friendly activities, activities where kids can participate, and demonstrations related to historical living and creating (e.g. blacksmithing if possible, painting, dress/costume, cooking.) The theme is "Digging up History," which connects especially to archeology, planting, and genealogy, but we welcome all sorts of historical activities, especially those related to living history. There will be music, re-enactors, sheep shearing, tours, and more. Please contact me if you're interested at anna@tenbroeckmansion.org or 518 436 9826. I look forward to your responses!
