Jim Moran will give a short lecture on using math in blacksmithing and then demo how to make a rose. If you want to give it a try, he has a few blanks available for $10 each. This is first come first serve during the meetup. There is no pre-registration and supplies are very limited.

If you wish, you can use the pattern provided below to cut out your own petals ahead of time from sheet metal. During the meetup, you will need a propane torch and needle nose pliers to form the rose shape (only if you are bringing your own petals).

We have heat in the forge that is being generously donated by Tom Domery.

As always, safety glasses required, cotton only clothing and closed-toed shoes.
